Two New Operational Vehicles: Kwara RAAMP Lauds Gov. Abdulraman Abdulrasaq's giant stride.

The Governor Abdulraman AbdulRasaq's led administration has been described as a focused, friendly and results driven government, especially for paying more attention on bringing life to the system through sustainable partnerships with developed Agencies across all stratas.
The Honourable Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engineer Suleiman Rotimi Iliasu noted this while taking delivery of the two newly purchased operational 2022 model Hilux vehicles for the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) in the State tate.
Honourable Iliasu further noted that, the event of today again confirmed His Excellency, Mallam Abdulraman Abdulrasaq as a focused and determined leader who gets things done for the betterment of Kwarans without being distracted.
The Commissioner therefore called on Kwarans both at home and in the diaspora to key into the vision of Governor Abdulraman Abdulrasaq which according to him, is set to do more to further put Kwara in the forefront where it belongs.
At the event, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, TPL Olorukooba Isiaka Olayinka described Governor Abdulraman Abdulrasaq as a leader and a father to all who wants the best for the State. 
The Permanent Secretary therefore prayed GOD to increase the Governor's wisdom in all ramifications, especially in his efforts to take the State to the promise land.
Also speaking, the Kwara RAAMP Project Coordinator, Engr. Akorede Abdulwahab Agboola, who spoke on behalf of his team in RAAMP, expressed his profound gratitude to Mallam Abdulraman Abdulrasaq for giving RAAMP a level playing ground to operate effectively.
The Project Coordinator, who also extends his appreciation to the State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) for their understanding and support over the years also thanked the supplier of the vehicles, Engr Kyauta N. Bawa of the Domenico Automobile Company Limited for justifying the trust reposed in him.
However, the project, RAAMP which was formally declared effective on March 16 2021 is a six- year programme co-financed by the World Bank with the aim of improving Rural Access and Trading Infrastructure in the participating States and had since received a counterpart fund payment of Six Hundred Million Naira from His Excellency.
The 13 RAAMP participating states are Kwara, Kebbi, Kastina, Sokoto, Kano, Abia, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Akwa-Ibom, Kogi, Bauchi and Plateau.
In view of RAAMP's execution plans, the project will rehabilitate 450km Spot Improvement road, 225km Rehabilitation/ Backlog maintenance road, yearly Routine Maintenance of 700km roads, Construction of 80-100m Cross Drainage across the State, as the physical implementation of the Project will start after the raining season.
