GOV, ABDULRAMAN ABDULRASAQ ATTENDS FORMAL INAUGURATION OF RAAMP IN ABUJA, AS PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI PROMISES TO MAKE RAAMP ENDURING FOR THE PEOPLE.
History was indeed enacted following the official Launch of the Rural access and agricultural Marketing Project(RAAMP) by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Conference Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja.
At the event, President Muhammadu Buhari noted that his administration will continue to prioritize the well being of Nigerians, especially the rural dwellers as it also focuses on creating more access roads for agriculture to thrive in the nation.
President Buhari who was represented by the Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum further showcased the commitments and desire of his administration to turn around the fortunes of rural communities in the nation, adding that his government places more premiums on the ideals of RAAMP.
Meanwhile, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulraman Abdulrasaq attended the official Launch of the RAAMP project in person alongside his counterpart from other 19 RAAMP participating States.
Governor, Abdulraman Abdulrasaq, it would be recalled had since inception, paid over 600 million naira counterpart funds as part of his administration's commitment to ensure the full implementation of the project in the state.
The epoch making event was witnessed by Governors of the 19 RAAMP participating states, Hon. Ministers, funding partners of World Bank and the French Development Agencies such as the AFD Country Director, Xavier Muron, World Bank Country Director, Mr. Shubham Chaudhuri, World Bank (Practice, Manager Africa Transport) Jean Francois Marteaun, French Ambassador to Nigeria, HE Mrs Emmanuelle BLATMNN, National Coordinator of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), Aminu Bodinga Muhammed.
Others include the Task Team Leader (TTL) for World Bank’s Transport Sector, Engr. Olatunji Ahmed, State Hon. Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, RAAMP State Project Coordinators, officials of the RAAMP Federal Project Management Unit (FPMU), State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) and other top government functionaries.
