Grievance Redress Committee/Resettlement Implementation Committees Inaugurated for Kwara RAAMP: As Project Coordinator Charges Committee Members to be Committed and Result Oriented.
As part of the processes to be observed before the full implementation of it's civil work, the Grievance Redress Committee (GRC) and the Resettlement Implementation Committee (RIC) for the State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) in Kwara, were formally inaugurated with a focus on addressing grievances that might arise during the implementation of the project.
In his welcome address, the Kwara RAAMP Project Coordinator, Engr Dr Isaac Kolo emphasized on the importance of individual and collective roles of the committee, urging members to approach their tasks with utmost seriousness and dedication. Adding that, the main civil work scheduled to commence shortly would need the committee's concerted efforts as they are vital for maintaining a smooth and efficient project implementation process in the State.
Dr. Kolo further noted that, Kwara RAAMP shall continue to complement the efforts of the Kwara State Government under the leadership of Mallam Abdulraman Abdulrasaq CON and Chairman Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), whose efforts and focus over the years is to harness all possible avenue to build a Kwara of our dream through sustainable partnership with developed agencies accross the world.
The Project Coordinator, who called for a harmonious working relationship among members, also congratulated the selected committee members, which according to him, is a recognition of their competence and expertise in delivering on the job, as he expressed confidence in their ability to address any issues that may arise effectively.
The Grievance Redress Committee will play a crucial role in resolving complaints, disputes, and grievances related to RAAMP project in the state. Its members will serve as a bridge between the project implementation unit and the affected stakeholders, ensuring that concerns are addressed promptly and fairly without and delay.
Officers in the Resettlement Implementation Committee are: Engr. Dr. Kolo Isaac as the Chairman, other members are Mr. Hameed A. Abdulrasaq, Mrs. Buhari Balkis Talatu, Mrs. Ishola Mariam Bola, Engr. Bashir Isiaka Olaiwola, Engr. Abolarin Oladapo David, Mr. Ishola Gbenga Emmanuel, Mr. Alimi K. Surajudeen, Mr. Abdulraman Akindele Ayuba, Umar Gunu Jimoh and Mr. Hassan Suleiman as the secretary of the committee.
Meanwhile, for the Grievance Redress Committee (GRC), officers saddled with the responsibility of looking into and addressing any grievances should any arise, are: Engr. Dr. Kolo Isaac as the Chairman, other members are Mr. Hameed A. Abdulrasaq, Mrs. Buhari Balkis Talatu, Engr. Bashir Isiaka Olaiwola, Engr. Abolarin Oladapo David, Mr. Ishola Gbenga Emmanuel, Mr. Alimi K. Surajudeen, Adeoye Moses Adeyinka and Mr. Hassan Suleiman as the secretary of the committee.
The committee's inauguration however , reflects the commitment of the Kwara State government in prioritizing the welfare and well-being of Kwarans irrespective of religion or political affiliations through transparent processes and effective project management which all provides avenues for stakeholders to voice their concerns at any point in time. Both the Grievance Redress Committee (GRC) and the Resettlement Implementation Committee (RIC) aimed at fostering trust and maintain positive relationships with members of the benefiting communities throughout the project's duration.
