Oyeyiola welcomes Bar leaders to Kwara: Congratulates them on the 2022 annual NEC meeting.

In a statement issued today by one of the leading aspirants to represent the NBA at the General Council of the Bar; Durodoluwa Oyeyiola, welcomed all the bar leaders to the NEC meeting holding in Ilorin scheduled for June 9,2022

It would be recall that, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)  traditionally holds their National Executive Council meeting quarterly, and this time, it is will hosted in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

According to the statement, the meeting is the last before the NBA General elections scheduled to hold on July 16,2022.
In a copy of the statement obtained by our correspondent, Oyeyiola said:

"These are challenging times for our Nation; however, we stand on the threshold of making historical changes as we prepare for the General elections in 2023. As lawyers, also known as the gatekeepers in the Nigerian system, Nigerians look up to us for leadership. We cannot afford to shy away, either from the truth as it is or from the responsibilities our noble calling places on our shoulders.
 I pray that the deliberations tomorrow will be fruitful and successful; and you shall all return to your destinations in safely."

Oyeyiola in the statement, further noted that, as a man born in Ilorin, there is a lot to enjoy in the Town. He urged participants to enjoy the peace, tranquility and hospitality of the place of his birthIlorin. 

He wished the legal luminaries a prosperous and fruitful deliberations in the course of their stay and other engagements here in Kwara.
